Living a Committed Way
My friend may I ask you, Are you living a committed way? Are you living surrendered in your daily Christian life?
As an eleven or twelve year old, I committed my life to the Lord and to His service. Even as a young person my desire was to live a life fully surrendered to the Lord, wherever that might take me.
Growing older has taught me that surrender is not a one time decision. It is not laying one’s life down at the altar during the invitation of a church service. This may be the first step; however, it is so much more than that.
True surrender is a continual day by day, moment by moment decision. Each day I must decide to live for Christ – to fully surrender my fleshly and earthly desires. Sometimes the pathway is not always easy or straight, but I know that Christ is with me each step of the way.
The path of surrender begins with the first step of receiving Jesus Christ as one’s personal Lord and Savior. If you have never repented of your sins and trusted Christ, I invite you to do so today.
To receive Christ:
First, Admit you are a sinner
Romans 3:10, “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:”
Romans 3:23, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”
Secondly, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ
Acts 16:31, “And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved,”
Lastly, Confess with your mouth
Romans 10:9, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
This blog is a journal of my walk with Christ as I seek daily to follow Him and His will for my life. As I share with you a little part of my journey, may you be inspired to walk closer fellowship with our Lord Jesus Christ!
“Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him;
and he shall bring it to pass.”
Psalm 37:5
